Islam is a Religion of Progressive.
Islam is a Religion of Logic--Reasonable.
It is not for any person to believe, except by the Leave of Allâh, and He will put the wrath on those who does not use his mind. Q.10 (100).

UPDATED / REFORMED. God send His law according to the context of time, Geography, and local tradition. For example A; The law of language.
According to local tradition. God sent His revelation to Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) in Saudi Arabia in Arab’s language. If God send His revelation in Arctic countries, God will send in Arctic language, it will not be Arab’s language. Al Quran will write with Arctic language. Example B.The law of Fasting.
According to Geography.
Allah sent His law for fasting in Saudi Arabia as following;
The time for fasting from the sun-rise until the sun-set Q.2:187.
God sent His law for fasting in Saudi Arabia, at equator line. Muslim will fast from the sun-rise to the sun- set in Saudi Arabia. The sun-rise is about 6 am, and the sun-set is about 6 pm. The length of day about 12 hours. So Muslim will fast about 12 hours.
Can this law apply in Northern of Arctic and Southern of Arctic? absolutely No. Why?

. If Muslim still follow the God’s law that sent in Saudi Arabia, Muslim will fast 22 hours on the Northern of Arctic and 2 hours on the southern of Arctic. Can you imagine it? It seems it is not logic or impossible to fast 22 hour a day on the Northern of Arctic, and 2 hours on the Southern of Arctic.
So I believe God will send His law different with Saudi Arabia. Muslim will be allowed to fast as long as 12 hours— from 6 am to 6 pm. Muslim do not need to see the sun, just see the clock as long as 12 hours. At the time of prophet (PBUH) did not have Clock yet, every one look at the sun rise and the sun set.
How Muslim pray in Arctic?
The same as the time of prayer, you can see the clock
and you can adjust the time for fajar’s prayer at 6 am, Lohor at 12 pm, Asaar at 3 pm, Magrip at 6 pm, and Isyaa 7 pm. Example C. The law of dog.
God sent His law according to science and technology.
Often we hear from the extremist Muslim clerics that people have to cleanse the saliva of dog with soil 7 times at the time of Prophet Muhammad 1400 year ago. At that time, there were no soap available to cleanse the saliva of dog. Now soap and sanitizer are available in market. Do you think Allah will not allow us to use soap as cleaner?
People of Saudi Arabia, Gulf States and Iran feel proud to uphold the ancient tradition from their ancestor who life in 1400 years ago, so call the Dark Ages.
They forbid Muslims to posses the dog. They forbid women to drive a car. etc.
Now in Modern time, modren interpretation bases on Al Quran below, that we believe that we can use soap to cleanse saliva of dog from our skin, instead of soil 7 times, and also Muslim can have a dog, as long as that dog healthy.Do you agree that? I am sure you agree.
A story of a young man from Saudi Arabia studied at University of America near my house, one day a Pet dog lick his hand, he directly went out of the house looking for soil / ground to wash the skin several times.
I ask: Why do not you wash it with soap or sanitizer in the bathroom clean and fast. He silently are laughing, he said the Prophet (Hadith) told like that.
Then I interrupted and asked; there is a Hadith also forbid Muslim to learn or study at Christian school or University, because they are unbeliever or Khafir. Now you study at American University? He just smiled to me and could not answer it.
A dog at the time of the Prophet there is no a vet. At the time a dog is very dangerous and forbidden. With the development of veterinary science, dog’s health can be maintained as well as human health.
It's funny that a healthy and well-trained dogs are prohibited ?. Dogs are very smart and helpful to help the police, the blind and keep the house etc.
How are beautiful and smart the dogs above?
A Quran verses explaining that the meat / animal catches a trained dog is eaten halal. Look GOD commands, at QS.5 ; 4
From 'A'ishah that the Prophet said Jibreel as pda waiting time has been determined. But Gabriel did not come in time, so the prophet throw a stick out of his hand and said, "God does not reneged on his promise, as well as the apostles." Then he turned around and found SAW dog under his bed. "O Aisha, since when anjingi it in here?" Aisha replied, "I do not know." Then he ordered that the dog SAW was issued. Then Gabriel came to the Prophet and asked, "You have an appointment and I have sat down to wait, but you do not come, why?" He replied, "The dog in the house that has stopped me. Surely we do not fit into the existing house and the dog picture." (Muslim)
Why do the scholars forbid dogs as guard houses, and helping the blind and help the police etc..They are fanatic, lack of knowledge.
Even Hadith also prohibits dogs hanging pictures in homes, scholars say that angels will not enter into the house. (Meaning GOD's grace does not come into the house). Extremist Muslim believe in idol--Muslim-Bukhari than God’s laws in written in Al Quran as above verse.
Students are still fanatics follow the hadith of Arab culture which is not Islamic law. Hadith of the Arab culture is not Islamic law. Muslims are fanatics like him, millions in number in the world.
Muslim who live in modern time should interpret Islamic teaching according to the progress and development of science and technology, otherwise we, Muslim still live in the Dark Ages. 1400 years ago.
Example D. The law of meat of Pork and Alcohol.
According to science of health.
God sent His law meat pork and Al cohol when the health expert and technology were not available yet at the time of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), God forbid people to eat Pork's meat and to drink alcohol.
But If God send His law today will be different. God will tell to Muslim that your foods will be decided by the health expert of Government. If the heath expert tell you the food that harm your health, it will unlawful ( Haram) but if that food is good for your health it will be lawful or Halal. Muslim do not need to follow the Islamic clerics from Saudi Arabia anymore.
There is a general guidance from God as following;
Definition of lawful ( Halal) and unlawful (Haram ) as Allah and Prophet Muhammad (saw) said in Holy Quran; Allows them as lawful what is good and prohibits them from what is bad. QS 7;157. ( It is very logical religion.)
Nowadays, the Health Experts of Government told people that people can eat Pork-meat but not to much and often, because the meat of pork contain a lot of fat that harm your health, but it will be fine if you eat not so often as well alcohol and other foods and drinks. God's law in Al Quran tell us the same. Q.2:173 (pork), Q. 2;219 (Alcohol), Muslim can eat a little bit of meat of pork and alcohol. Both are not poison foods. there are not unclean staffs. Millions people drink alcohol and eat meat-Pork, they are fine.
The "Label Halal Foods" is ridiculous interpretation of Islam, discriminating and provocative. This idea of the extremist Muslim from Arab countries who intolerant. Non Muslim are forbidden to work at Halal Food industry, because non Muslim are unclean, they eat unclean meat of Pork and drink Alcohol.It is nonsense.
Cigarette are more dangerous than the Pork-meat and alcohol. Thousand people have died every year because of cigarette. The health expert of Government have told people that cigarette are dangerous for people that can cause many kind of decease. Million young Muslim Saudi Arabia smoke cigarette, that is why Saudi Arabia cannot forbid Muslim from smoking cigarette. It is hypocrite.
Example E. The law of women's clothing.
According to Location / Geography. God sent His law about women’s clothing according to location and tradition of Arab people who live in desert and often occurred conflict among tribes because of different belief and tribes. So God commanded women to cover whole body ( burqa, hijab) Q. 33:59, Q. 24:31 in order to protect her hair and skin from sand-storm. Second to protect women from kidnapping by unknown people.
Women can be slaved and traded etc. Q.24:33. Q,33;50. at the time of Prophet.
God’s law will be different law regarding women's clothing, if Prophet was sent in America- modren Time, where is no sand-storm, no conflict. God will tell to women are not necessary to cover your hair, hands and feet, just wear in modesty of dress. You are save from sandstorm and kidnapping from unknown man. Police will protect the safety of citizen.

Example F. The law of Persecution. According to technology and time.
God sent His law at the time of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) where there were not justice of institution and Jail. God commanded Prophet Muhammad to carry out the criminal punishment at front of public such as; beheading, flogging and cut off hands etc.
Do you believe that Prophet command to execute people cruelly?
As for a man or a woman who commits theft, cut off the hands of both to punish them for what they earned,a deterrent punishment from Allah. Allah is Mighty, Wise. Q.5:38.if anyone slew a person―unless it be for murder or for spreading mischief in the land― it would be as if he slew the whole people: and if anyone saved a life it would be as if he saved the life of the whole people. Q 3;53

The Story of Saudi Culture and Heritage.
Allah sent Islam or prophet Muhammad(saw) lead Arab people out of the depth of darkness into light by the their Lord's leave. Q.14;1.
Arab Nation at the Dark Ages
Based on al Quran the Arabs were a nation that often had conflicts, hostility, kidnappings and civil-wars caused by different ethnicities and religious beliefs. They killed their children foolishly, due to their lack of knowledge
QS 6;140. A man could marry women more than four QS.4:3,
many women became slaves, and can be traded etc. QS.24:33
They were at the brink of a pit of Fire.QS 3;103.
Imagine how Arab people made a house? They made house from skin of animal, It was not real house but just a tent, moveable, QS.16;80-81.
They moved from one place to another place. During Muhammad’s (pbuh) time there was no police to guard people, there were no hospitals to go to when people got sick, also there was no hospitals for animals, no telephones, buses and electricity. It was very difficult to find water for bathing and washing dirty clothes. They lived in desert. When strong winds come up in the desert, the hot sand can damage human skin and eyes.
Therefore Allah and the Prophet Muhammad asked women to cover their entire body with a cloth. Women are forbidden to go outside without accompanied by her brother or husband.
So Burqa, Hijab, Veil is not the code of Islamic dress, but the Arab traditional dress who live in desert at ancient time.
How to follow Allah and Sunnah or the life of Muhammad saw) professionally as a role model for Muslim in this 21st Century?
The Prophet Muhammad was a perfect man in the context of his time, We do not need to follow his actions in a literal sense, but, only in the context of our time.
If Muslims still follow the ancient Islamic law as above, do you think Muslim can pursue their dream? No!
Can Muslim man and woman make great progress and produce super works of science, culture, art and aesthetics, as well as Islam in the best way, and thus represent to the world.

Allah, subhanahu wata’aala, is the Creator of mankind and therefore knows his nature more intricately than mankind himself. Allah, subhanahu wata’aala, has therefore chosen for us a religion best suited to the nature of mankind and the nature of human environment. So, God choose a religion that goes neither to the extremes of hardship nor of laxity, but instead provides a middle path; in other words, a religion of ease. Allah, subhanahu wata’aala, said;
“Allah intends for you ease, and does not want to make things difficult for you” [2:185]; and “Allah does not want to place you in difficulty” [5:6]. Allah Almighty has chosen you and has imposed no difficulties on you in religion;Q.22:78.

The Quran was revealed in Mecca and Medina. So, all the instructions were suitable for Muslims living in that geographical location. Realistically within reason and based on the verse above, hours of Fasting for Muslims is to be equal to the number of hours of fasting as in Mecca and Medina. Today in Mecca the sunrise is at 5:38 AM and Sunset is at 6:58 PM. The total hours of fasting is 11 hours and 20 minutes. So, where ever Muslim may be, he must fast 11 hours and 20 minutes during the waking hours or 12 hours, it does metter. This makes sense to me.
